Our Why
We work the week. We chase the weekend.
As a paramedic and a medical assistant, we’ve seen firsthand how fragile and unpredictable life can be. We’ve seen plans postponed. Trips delayed. “Someday” turn into “too late.”
That’s why we don’t wait for retirement to start living.
Weekends on Wheels was built around a simple belief — you don’t have to quit your job to chase adventure, but you also shouldn’t wait decades to enjoy it.
We work hard.
We show up when it matters.
And when Friday hits, we hitch up, roll out,
and make the most of the Miles between Mondays.
What followed were plenty of road bumps. We thought we knew what we were doing. We didn’t. We learned quickly that camping, towing, and owning a trailer isn’t just about showing up — it’s about preparation, patience, and problem-solving.
We made mistakes. We fixed things. We upgraded. We adjusted.
And somewhere in the middle of figuring it all out, something bigger started forming.
Our relationship grew stronger.
Our creativity sharpened.
Our “why not try it?” mindset got louder.
We started taking things from stock to solid — upgrading, improving, dialing in systems, building confidence.
That mindset became more than a phrase.
So It Became Weekends on Wheels.
We had been married just under a year when the idea really took hold. Will’s brother bought a camper, and that was the spark. We decided to try camping — but in our Tesla.
And honestly? We loved it.
Tesla camping worked… until it didn’t. Securing campsites was tough. Exploring outside the campground was limited. Traveling with two dogs made space tight fast. What started as a fun experiment quickly showed us we wanted something more flexible.
So we started looking at travel trailers, and looking. But kept returning to the first one we ever saw.
So we bought that one, Arbie.
Ashley loved the storage.
Will loved the idea of what it could become.
